Marco’s New Blog! – Marco’s Sketchbook

Hi everyone!

My brother Marco has created his own blog using Edublogs. It’s called Marco’s Sketchbook; he has been working on it with never ending enthusiasm for almost 3 weeks. My favorite post that Marco has done so far is the About post. I really like how he tells us what he’s going to do, who he is, and how he would like us to interact with him. I think Marco has a really cool idea for his blog and I can’t wait to read more of his posts!

Marco and I did a fun little interview with each other about our blogs. Down below, I have the questions I asked him and the answers he gave me! Check out Marco’s Sketchbook  for the questions he asked me and all his posts!

What’s your blog’s name and why did you choose that name for your blog?

So the name is Marco’s Sketchbook. Kathryn and I did a five minute brain storm, and I wanted to include my name. So when sketchbook was written down – I thought it would be a really good title because just like a sketchbook it is filled with many different topics and Ideas.

How long have you been working on it?

I’ve been working on the blog for 2 weeks, but I’m looking forward to continuing to post throughout the summer and  the school year, too.

What is the goal for your blog?

I would like to post every week and sometimes twice a week about cooking, travel, sports, and art, and also book and movie reviews.

What are some things you want to showcase or highlight on your blog?

I want to highlight different series. For example, In the Kitchen and In the Studio and book and movie series, as well! In the Kitchen will feature different things I do in the kitchen through pictures and writing. In the Studio will focus on art, and I will focus on great books and movies that read and watch over the summer.

Which post are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of my African Masks post because I really really enjoyed writing it. We learned so much while doing something really cool. There is a story to my mask – how I made it, and the history of the mask. And I thought that was all really interesting to learn and to make at the same time.

Why do you want to blog in the first place?

Well, I really like to write and take pictures and I really like sharing it with people. I want to broaden my audience from my immediate family to all of my family and friends.

Looking forward to reading Marco’s blog. It will be interesting to see how similar and different your summers will be — even though you live in the same house! I think it will be a good opportunity for all of us to understand each other better.
