Washington D.C. + College Graduation!

Landed in D.C.!
It, was raining…

Hi Everyone!

Earlier today my family and I few back from Washington D.C. We were there for my older cousin’s (Jon) graduation. He got a BA from Catholic University of America.                                                                                                             When we were in D.C. I also had fun making up Jon shakes, Jon clovers, playing Heads Up with family, and finally going to the famous Momofuku Milk Bar!

Jon on a stick!

For the graduation ceremony my Aunt Debbie made awesome Jons on sticks. A Jon on a stick is a picture of my cousin Jon taped on a stick. When they called out his name for Jon to get a diploma, we waved around the faces cheered. Now that, was a lot of fun!

At dinner, my cousin Mike, Marco, Dad, and I made a Jon clover. That’s when we took 4 Jons on sticks held them together in the shape of a clover (it looks a little creepy :|)! (A picture coming soon)

Also, we made up secrete hand shakes… But in place of our hands, we held Jons on sticks! We laughed until our stomachs hurt.

Heads up!

Heads Up is a fun and hilarious game that involves quick thinking, knowing your team members, and a good sense of humor! Your friends try to act out and give you hints about the phrase on top of your head. There are categories from naming celebrities, to silly accents!

My family and I had lots of laughs playing this game, we were kind-of obsessed. This game is fun for any age and any one! give it a 5 star rating!

Momofuku milk bar!

YUM!!!

The cereal and milk ice cream!

Momofuku was delicious! They sold everything from potato chip “compost” cookies to chocolate chip passion fruit cake shakes! I got there specialty – cereal and milk ice cream (with the crunchy topping). When you take a bite of that milk ice cream and cereal it is MAGICAL! The milk ice cream melts in your mouth like a swirl of flavor – Milk. The ice cream tastes exactly like milk IT’S IMPOSSIBLE! And the cereal adds a nice crunchy element to the dessert.

It is simply AMAZING! 🙂

Hi Anna, that was certainly a busy and fun-filled adventure. After seeing all those goody milk treats I feel a need for a Springer’s vanilla fudge cone. I hope when I get my I-phone i can learn that game and be in the mix down in Avalon. Also looking at that headline picture I am amazed at the family resemblance in the family. Thanks for sharing these memories. love Grandma Natalie

    Hi Anna,
Thanks for highlighting graduation. What an awesome weekend! We are really proud of Jon and very appreciative that everyone made the trip to join us. Can’t wait to get our heads-up team back together. My stomach still hurts from laughing so much.
    Ciao – Aunt D

    Hi Anna,

Love the Jon on Sticks pic! And, I must say, I’m so glad you guys took me to Momofuku Milk Bar. It exceeded expectations. The “cereal and milk” ice cream was contemporary in execution (sooo delish) but really did bring back memories of being kid and having cereal for breakfast. I imagine you might not have the same nostalgia as I’m sure you NEVER eat sugary cereal at breakfast 🙂

    What a fun trip!

I bet Jon was very surprised to see his head on a stick! I also love playing Heads up with your family! I hope we can play it with you when I come to visit!

    Congrats, Jon!
