Hi Anna, looks like a fun and interesting day. when I was little we used to visit my mom’s godmother’s farm. It was always a special treat to see the animals. I always liked the cows and horses the best. It was always a special Sunday treat. love Grandma Natalie

    Hi Anna,
Great photos again!! What an adorable goat on the tractor. Does he/she have a name and do they always get into trouble?

Her name is Onyx. They do get into trouble… we were doing a scavenger hunt and they ate Anna’s map!

Yes, the brown/black/white goat who’s on the tractor name is Onyx and the white one is Opal! And I’ve been told that they get in trouble most of the time ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi again,
Question… do you milk the goats on the farm? And could you (or should I ask would you) make cheese? I’m not sure what’s involved in the cheese making process. Just curious.

So we do not milk the goats because it’s a lot of work and we don’t have the time๐Ÿ˜œ! Also the goats aren’t old enough yet! It’s hard to tell in the picture but they weren’t even a year old. Most framers wait until the are around 2 1/2-3 years of age to have them give birth. A goat needs to give birth to have milk and they usually have a couple of kids (baby goats). Because of that we do not make cheese or soap but if we EVER got goat milk, we would for sure! If you want more info, check out “Hobby Farms- Goats”!
