Happy Easter!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a hoppy Easter! I wrote this poem on the fly for Easter morning. Enjoy! 🙂

Our Easter Eggs! A long lasting Easter tradition!

An Improv Easter!

Happy Easter,

to all, and to you,

let this day bring joy,

Our butter lambs! I gave them all nick names: the one on the far right is a polar bear, the one next to that is George Washington/a bear, after that is the demoralized goat, and finally the lamb/dog!

and happiness too!

Family traditions re-created yesterday,

but TODAY, some of our own,

are in the making…

This day,

it might rain,

it might not,

today is a chance,

To me spring starts at Easter! So, planting plants means to me: Easter, the start of spring, life, dirt, and new beginnings!

we might plant,

we might not.

Because today,

is OUR day,

to celebrate Eater,

it is all up to us…

It took me 3 hours to make the cake! Since Easter (to me) is the start of spring and it is full of life, I made a chocolate malted milk bird’s nest cake!!

To choose what we do!

I  hope you had a Happy Easter,

Anna

    Hi Anna,

Okay, so my lamb looks like a dog – I can’t help it. Every year since I was little my lamb looked like our dog Curly. I loved your GW lamb though – it really did look like it was wearing a powdered wig!!

    HI Anna,

Mom again. The cake was delicious. Three hours was a bit much, but OMG it was a good cake!!!

    Anna,
Wonderful poem! You are an incredible poet. The cake was amazing, however long it took. I am looking forward to eating some peanuts!

I love the way the text moves in this post! The layout really echoes your poem ~ there is a beauty in oscillating between tradition and deciding with your family what this special day will hold ~ well done, Anna!
