Joy: The Foster Puppy

A few days before New Years, my family got a new foster puppy named Joy. We foster from an animal rescue in the Bay Area called Copper’s Dream. Copper’s Dream is foster based. That means all their dogs go into homes before they are adopted out, instead of into a shelter facility.

Joy is an 11 week old female Pit-mix that was rescued with her 5 siblings in Tehama, CA. She is a happy, silly, and lovable little pup. I have lots of fun running with her and watching her bound all around. Between our house and laps up on the big hill she is full of energy, until she lays down. Then she will sleep, and sleep, and sleep and not care if she is on top of your face. Seeing her play with Cali is hilarious and just makes you happy no matter what (click here to see for your self). Then, she plops down and sleeps. Snuggling up with her, while hearing her little snores is heartwarming. Joy is a friendly little puppy and I can’t wait to spend more time with her!

Hi Anna, Joy looks like a wonderful puppy. Your Great Aunt Franny had one that looked just like her. She grew up to be a really lovable and good companion. I hope Joy finds a forever home. Good luck and keep up the good work. Grandma Natalie

I really liked the family that adopted her – they will take great care of her and experience the joy that is Joy (the happiest puppy I can recall coming through our house).
