It can be hard to remember that being happy isn’t being perfect. To me, being happy is letting go of your sadness and becoming free and enjoying the moment. When I’m happy it feels like I’m never going to stop smiling or seeing my dogs and horse run freely and wildly or impressing my Mom so much that she says she’s impressed (that is very hard to do). When I try to be perfect I get frustrated, upset, and grumpy. Why? Because no ones perfect and no one will ever be perfect. But, everyone can be happy. Being happy is important and I think this quote captures that.

Anna,
I love the imagery this writing evokes. Dogs and horses running free, a release from sadness, an impressed mom. All together a true picture of happiness. And perfection? Not a factor. Please keep writing these beautiful words.
